The jama mosque is one of the biggest mosques in india located in delhi near the red fort about 500m away is the jama mosque buiding started in (1650) by shah jahan and compleated 6 years later.

the building cost 1 million ruppe's.

It stands on a rocky elevation and has huge gateways the mosque is constructed of sandstone and white marble. Jama mosque can be entered from both directions north and south.

Jama mosque can hold upto 20,000 worshippers and is a beutiful building
